^Right, I believed the Defense System was run by the Subbots, and the Defense System, which was create at the same time as the core, was made to keep the outer Rim out of the Core. Viewing the Humans in the outer Rim as the infection compared to the humans who lived in the core.

This would make sense, especially if the first presence of humans in the Subnet was in the Root, which seems to be outside the Core.

Can we talk about how the Defense Systems connect with SHIVA? Are they a solid extension of SHIVA? Or are they separate?

Well if SHIVA is the core, then they would still serve the same purpose; to protect it.
I guess that's why Mur wanted to invade the core. To escape the Submachine, which he did.
So he (or in this case us) would have needed to disable the defenses for him to get out.

Sounds good. Liz knew Mur wanted to go after those who buried him in the Lighthouse. And they were probably outside of the Submachine.

Shiva is not the Core, but it should definitely be located in the Core.

Whoops, that's what I meant, not that it was the core XP.

Finally it's here; I spent a bit of extra time on it to round things out. Enjoy!
