I have always been thinking, that it was Mur as Protagonist in Sub_0(Chinese Ninja), but that e-mail at the begining of Sub_5...
Hi there.
Did you sleep well?

I've got an assignment for you.

You seem to be the best man for this job since your training involved dealing with wisdom crystals. You have to track back your actions and retrieve them. The easiest way is to access the root location and start from there. Root coordinates are: 5-5-2, and don't forget lab coordinates which are 0-0-1. Good Luck.

Murtaugh
Does it mean, that The Player(main character) was the protagonist of Sub_0? Or that he placed the crystal back there before Sub_1? That would explain why it was laying on the ground...
Also... am I he only one who thinks that "Sub_0" sounds like the name of this Ice Ninja from Mortal Kombat? Sub-Zero.

No, because we find a section of the ancient section in the Root.

And yeah, except I keep finding myself wishing that Sub_0 was an ice submachine instead of merely ancient.

Edit: well wait... yeah your right, because we've never been to the root. Oh well, I guess it just means the other locations simply because Mateusz has said that Sub0 isn't a part of the main story arc.

I dunno, after playing through sub1 and sub2,when I discovered sub0 it just seemed like a prequel, lile an episode 0.I can see why the thing could be mistaken for having an ice theme, but it was called Submachine 0,and sub0 is just an abbreviation made by us.

...and if we've never been to the root, what about mur's message, asking us to retrace our steps?(of course,he may just be refering to the lighthhouse.)
Is this my final form?

My theory is:
We were working for M./in the lab for some time before Sub_1.
spoiler We placed this gem back in the last chamber. spoiler
We are now going back.

That can be also true for the gem in the metal box.

I don't understand...
Mateusz says this game is not part of main series & he calls this game "Submachine 0"... Why?

It's like 32 Chambers being called "Sub32" sometimes. It's just the number assigned to it.

Besides, "0" in a series, although logically meaning "before the first," doesn't have to always mean the "prequel."

No, sub32 refers to 32 chambers. Sub0 is quite different.

I ask because if Sub0 is before Sub1, why it isn't part of main series? It has number and other things.
Oh, mystery again...

I don't know, perhaps it's the first idea Mateusz had, and he went with it :B

It's a prequel?
So maybe it's semi-canon?
So maybe the sub5 reference is a homage/tribute?
Is this my final form?
