Well, now I see why the rule was made to begin with. I wondered.

And I'm sure you guys are still Mods, it was strange to see only Mateusz's name on the list under "Team" though.

Essentially none of us really have a problem with small unobtrusive banner signatures, but we can't allow them because at what point do they become too big and/or too distracting?

The reason they were removed if I can recall correctly was specifically Theta's pushing it far too over the line. It was pretty big and distracting, but honestly it wasn't that much worse than the ever growing banner sizes.
Maybe we will remove that rule, but not yet. And it would definitely be replaced by size restrictions if we do remove the whole no banner thing.
