people can easily get fed up when they get too much attention. it can make them feel attacked or suffocated or even like they're better than you and that they can use you because of it.
it's important to restrain yourself a little bit
you mustn't give your everything to them at once, especially in the beginning
and especially if they're already in a relationship. it's always hard to admit to yourself you like someone else while still in a relationship. expecting someone to give up their current partner for you is quite bold

Personally I just never act on any of my crushes. You get the fuzzy feelings and nobody has to know. No emotional energy expended on saying things publicly. No time is wasted on pointless courting. Perfect system.

I mean, it means that I will never start a relationship, but I am okay with that. Your mileage may wary.

I'm just tired of investing so much effort into someone, and getting nothing in return. Sure its my own damn fault for falling in love with that guy in the first place, but its his fault that he was flirting with me, making advances and told me he loved me, even though he was with someone else.

And no, I don't invest into people in relationships usually, I had feelings for the guy, he figured that out and acted on his feelings for me, thus making my feelings bigger to the point we fell in love... but... yeah, it ended badly.

I don't know. I'm just tired of it. I want nothing to do with falling in love again. Its not worth it.

That is fair. It is unfortunate, but one has to make these sorts of decisions for oneself. Others' opinions are perhaps valuable per se, but you know you best.

Just had to get some frustration out somewhere, and this thread was the perfect place for it.

A lot went into those three letters. Been having trouble with a friend who I dated for a bit who's stringing me out, and I'm losing patience.

I'm still having those nightmares where I try to find her but she's nowhere to be found.

Last time I saw her was in December of last year, she was inside a bus and she looked at me, and judging by the motion of her lips, I figured she said my name. This really doesn't tells me anything other than the fact she still remembers me.
