Sweet lord it's glorious!
It's no longer a series of post-it notes!
This is one of the best Christmas presents ever, thanks Mat. =)

EDIT:
I noticed that almos all indie games follow two paths - they're either pixelart, which I hate, or they're veeeeery cutsy sweet and girly.
I agree that there seems to be those two definitive categories, but I happen to really like the pixel art style if it fits the game.
What is it about it you don't like?

I think that indie devs like adding a retro feel to their games because it's an obvious way to differentiate them from the bigger Triple A titles, maybe because of a vanity streak but personally I think if it emulates the feelings you got from the first time you played a Legend of Zelda or Pokemon title etc and really enjoyed it then it's not a bad thing.

Anyway; one or two questions about this forum.
I don't want to step on any toes or cross any lines so is there any new rules or changes to the rules for this forum? I know the sign up page said the usual not to post anything offensive but what's considered offensive?
I mainly ask because I don't know whether you want this forum to be kept clean of swearing or are you not bothered by it like the old forum?

@Bender: Read through the first few pages, Mateusz said he's found the ranking system, but he didn't have time to do at the moment. (Page 2, I believe.)

"post a url of a video of Homer Simpson shouting "neeerrrrd" in the off-topic thread to jeer the dudes talking about equations and such they are more likely to skip over it and ignore it as opposed to the video being right there in my post."

LOL, that might be a blessing and a curse - If the spammers decide to post videos. Of course we're smart enough not to click the links, but I think there may be a problem in the future with that.

Honestly, I leave for one week and when I get back, what do I find? A whole bloody new forum!
Seriously though, it's great, a lot more inviting. My only gripe is not having the front board with the overall latest topics on, instead of which we have to go into a particular catigory now.
Other than that, it's really great!

I really like it! What I noticed, mostly, is that the posting thingy has many helpful options. The font size, the "Preview" option, the colours, and probably many other things I haven't seen yet since I just made my account here... Should I say hello somewhere?

I've been swearing in my posts, and so far it's gone pretty well.
I would assume that "offensive" qualifies as anything that merits him or any yet-to-be-empowered moderators to take action. So as long as you don't post goatse or whatever I would think you're okay.

Mateusz...

Amnesia: The Dark Descent
The Basement Collection
Botanticula
Braid
Castle Crashers
Dear Esther
Dream Machine
Limbo
Machinarium
The Stanley Parable
Thirty Flights of Loving
Windosill

and many other good indie games that aren't pixelart or cutesy and girly. I understand your complaints when they were definitely true 2 or 3 years ago. Now is not necessarily relevant for current crop of games because more and more of independent and professional game developers are getting better handle of creating those kind of games.

Soul, Castle Crashers borders on both cutesy and pixel-y. Other than that, of the ones I know, you have accurately provided counter arguments.

I don't necessarily think that swearing should really be disallowed on this forum since most of us (maybe all of us) are mature enough to deal with words like that. I'd say things that fall under the category of offensive are blatant attacks on other users or ridiculously insensitive comments. It's not too hard to avoid things that are genuinely inappropriate enough that they require intervention.

Wasn't there a rule that said swearing is allowed as long as you don't insult other people?
TT: I guess one could use those words to describe it.
TT: If armed with a predilection for the inapt.
