It tells something about the nerdiness of scientists, that currently there are areas called Cthulhu and Balrog and Mordor on Charon.

Oh, sorry, I seem to have deleted two words from my post on accident. Balrog and Cthulhu are on Pluto, only Mordor is on Charon.

Not yet. I'm guessing they will be changed, since the people coming up with the names are kind of obsessed with obscure deities.

I would honestly prefer more serious names, taken from mythology and not so much pop culture.
