Ask snarr if he can read whatever is written on the top part of the door
Balance is imperative; without it, total collapse and destruction is imminent.

Press the buttons randomly and hope you get lucky.
OR
Go back to the door that separated the room you're in and the portal door and examine the inscriptions on that door.

Ha, but what if you spend a ridiculously long time doing that? Eight buttons, unknown number of symbols, you could be stuck here long after Snarr has died of natural causes (ok, not that long, but still).Press the buttons randomly and hope you get lucky.![]()
The door that separates this room and another door? What does that mean?Go back to the door that separated the room you're in and the portal door and examine the inscriptions on that door.

Such a shame, they don't match...
Moving on
Look around the portal room (i.e. examine all four walls)
Look around the other room (i.e. examine all four walls)
Examine cables
Do stuff
Solve puzzles
Proceed through the plot
etc.

You go to the room just outside the portal room and look at the only wall you haven't properly seen:Look around the portal room (i.e. examine all four walls)
Look around the other room (i.e. examine all four walls)

You go back into the portal room to get a look at the notorious fourth wall:

You go back and check the cables:

They seem really strong, but that's about all you can deduce from them.
Oh, dear, you need to control yourself before your robotic mind crashes...Do stuff
Solve puzzles
Proceed through the plot
etc.
