This thread is the thread of all threads for the year of Submachine, where we post All We Know and try to have one last go of figuring it all out before the release of Sub10. In the words of Sublevel:

I have idea: organization of collective thinking/theorizing about Submachine.

Let's start from the first game. Record all facts we got there. Make list of unknown things and unanswered questions.
Then we will read Mateusz's posts between two games. Make connections and first conclusions.
Then second game...
Making connections. Recording answers, new mysteries and unknowns.
Then Mateusz's posts between 2nd and 3rd games...
etc.

Objective 1: List all facts from all games sequentially
Objective 2: Target most pressing questions and unknowns that arise from simply reviewing the game facts
Objective 3: Comprehension of Mat's posts between games to solve these questions
Objective 4: Make condensed list of leftover/newly arisen questions/unknowns
(Objective 5): Refer to commonly accepted physical properties/behavior of Subnet to draw tighter conclusions
(etc)

OK, I got free time, not I expected...

@WorldIsQuiet: we start from very first game now. We never heard about Mur, about Liz, about Wisdom (bcs it wasn't in original Submachine as well). :D

No game menu.
Game help tells us to solve puzzles to get out.
Author wishes us luck...

Nine rooms.
Set of items and puzzles.
And main puzzle...

Unique moving rooms system.
You hear strange "train sound" when you move,
another sound when you pick up item
and yet another sound when you choose active area.
All other sounds are "realistic" (water fall, inserting valve, etc...)

first thing: what could be in the fourth wall? where is the generator connected to?

EDIT: and how do the bells work (I think there is some theory in the wiki about it?)

The questions that you ask at the very start:
Who is the Protagonist?
Where are them? (This is one very strange basement, if we believe the title.)
Whose basement os this?
Are they being held here against their will?
Why are they here?
How did they get there, if there is no visible entrance?
Why is there a ladder down? How deep is this basement?
What's up with all those pipes?
What is this thing on the wall?
Where is the light coming from, if there are no lamps or windows?
Is the message created by the author of the game, simply as an instruction, or is it in-game?
Why is Protagonist invisible, if we can see entire room?
