Don't worry, I wasn't around at the time those jokes were started, so even if I tried to use them they wouldn't work XD

Text story.

(though I wouldn't ignore artist interpretations of some scenes, hint hint :D )

Which would probably screw the whole thing up XD

I'm trying to base the whole thing after what I think would most likely happen during the process of the Player escaping via the Exit, whatever form it may take.

I have two main characters in mind, possibly a third.

So, this.

Might I tell you guys that I originally had this idea after I came back from New Mexico? I drew a fanart of what would be "Submachine: The Forbidden Ground", the title for one part of this fanfic I was going to do.

After I came back from New Mexico I had this strong urge to create a story where the Player winds up in a barren desert after escaping the Submachine. I never voiced this out loud because I, like everyone else, had NO IDEA what form the Exit would take.

Well look, our Player ends up in a desert. Except that was the only part I got right.

I was thinking that, for my fanfic, the Player would end up in a desert like that of Arizona/New Mexico, not with sand dunes. The Player would have exited through some large important electronic gate to the real world, not simply teleporting outside of a buried Lighthouse. The Player would then have been stranded and alone in a wasteland (DMT style), not greeted by Mur and Liz and Einstein.

The "Forbidden Ground" was to be this desert, the true outskirts of Submachine. It would be a vast wasteland where physical copies of world cultures were "rejected" or "broken" and tossed out by Submachine itself. Like a large vast trash bin. The Player would then spend several years surviving in this wasteland, and this would be the part of the fanfic called "The Forbidden Ground".

Now before I spoke of this story as being one in two parts. The second part would take place many years in the future. The outside world knows about Submachine and the world governments are teaming up to find the missing researchers. So they send a young man into the Subnet, as they have established some sort of connection to get people in to wherever the Subnet was. (This part was iffy in my mind, because it depended on the final state of what was real and what was not, and if the Subnet could be considered "acessible from an outside world"). THe story would then follow the young man as he explored the Subnet, looking for survivors, and possibly the Player himself.

These were all my thoughts I had before Sub10 actually came out, and of course they're mostly shattered now. Because we actually saw what happened, and it's completely different than what I expected. No, that's not wuite accurate. I didn't know what to expect in Submachine 10.

But, I still really want to write a fanfic, so here's my plan:

Give it more time. Clean the Wiki up, allow time for people to discuss the HELL out of Submachine itself, get all the parts lined up, all the concepts cleared out. Then I'll rewrite the storyline and try to make it a dual-nature fanfic, if possible. Because I really liked the idea of telling two stories at once that were both connected but also not very.

So, tl;dr, I still have plans for this, but I need more time to figure out what they are XD

Oh well, I'll take my opportunity to say hi now :P

Hi Jatsko,
Your fanfic idea is awesome, I'm sure you'll do a great job with it. Matter of fact I've had the "escape through a desert" idea as well, but no one will believe us now, right?
You've made awesome progress so far with your youtube playthroughs, keep up the good work :D
