Yes. New tradition was born.
Collective gameplay.
Game gathered people together.
But PUZZLE part is dead.

And again. It's good if you're stuck for month so you can cry for help.
But few hours after release...

For once, I actually managed to get through an entire Submachine game without throwing my hands up in frustration more than twice. Sometimes, some of us just can't cope with spending hours looking for a particular object or puzzle (yep, I did that).

But I do understand, you're frustrated that we're not doing all the hard work, right?

Most of the times I seek for walkthroughs are for following an action I 100% certainly had done before without walkthrough but somehow didn't work.

The SAME action. I SWEAR I did put the karma vial in the hole already 3 times, only after reading the walkthrough I was able to insert the karma vial for the fourth time.

strange r i g h t ?

Gemine, WorldIsQuiet, and those who was involved in that...

Do you have ANY sane reason why did you ask and use hints in first hours after release?
1. By time I had put the second obtained Light Orb in the diskette in 1-1-1, then later found the light orb crown at the Sub 8 location, I was stuck. It took me the whole day to finish the game; with the exception of my 4 hour work shift at the library on Monday. When I got back home, trying to complete it, I was getting a headache as my Subconscious was racking its computing process on "What Goes Where", or "Were have I been too, but I have something that might change the environment right now"

2. Bad side to doing this: I heard about the "Karma Restoration Device" and replayed the game twice thinking that item was either the Karma Generator Bulb, or the blue florescent cylinder that we used to get the Grape Stone in O-O-1.

@World: but your first asking for hint happened after only 1h45m after release...

And you could play it... next day? Or later. week...

------------

ok ok

It seems I'm absolutely alone in my position here.
Single member of herd. Only rebel who disagrees with worldwide tradition of playing games.
Well, maybe not single. But still...

No puzzles. Collective gameplay.

Thanks.

Note to myself:
not mentioning about this. Nowhere, never again.

Are we alone in the Submachine? Well, yes, but you can always feel somebody right beside you, doing the same things you do in the Submachine. Just one sub-layer away. That's comforting, isn't it?
And Forum is transublayer comunication tool, what could prevent a player for helping a buddy traped in a different Sublayer!

I forgot the infinite combination that could be achieve with 3x3.
About 2 hours in, I found there was more that 3 combinations.
