As of '12,doomsayers have been around forever,people forget their failures over and over again,so why would they be right now?
People who believe such nonsense are either misguided or just plain stupid.
It isn't so easy... There are people who haven't ever read or heard that there were earlier failed predictions, and thus are easy to deceive. But yeah, in general, most people who think that are rather from the conspiranoic kind.
