Because, that one was starting to stick too.
Both songs are fairly sticky, I don't see any problem in them not becoming earworms, although, that could just be that my mind is wired differently than yours.
I don't hear any unsual beat in it, but it was stating to stick, so I had to stop listening.Russians is by Sting (and the Police)

I don't listen to music that much because I find quite difficult to find some that I particularly enjoy listening to. Maybe that's part of the problem?

Yes, maybe that's just it.
I (usually) need to listen to a song 2 or 3 times if I want to make it stick (although, your examples are VERY sticky).
It's like " oh, nice tune, how does it go again?"
