Maybe because when he see these holes, he remembers about... traps?..

Ok. First, he throws something useless, something like OFFENSIVE NOTE.



Nothing happened.
Then, Mr. Stick decides to use something useful, something like long metal stick with hook at the end.



He waved it on holes level, then he hit them - nothing terrible happened again.

Well, now Mr. Stick thinks it is safe, and he can continue his descent.
The bottom is very near. He can see it distinctly.



He tired to hang on the rope. He so wants to stand on the ground again!..
Hey, wait, is it SOIL GROUND at the bottom???
