You ever rant about a video game and look online and try to find people who have a similar opinion to yours, but can never find it? That is how I feel about Assassin's Creed. Its a lovely game series, but there are just some things about the game I find ridiculous, poorly designed, poorly implemented and nobody else agrees with me. Everyone else praises those things.

My personal rant game is System Shock 2. Everyone says how great it is, critics are usually bashed. I think it's an awful chore to play and didn't even bother finishing it.

That would be like my feelings for Grand Theft Auto 5. I'm one of very few who despise the game, due to Rockstar ruining what the game was built upon: having fun

People who are in the same boat as me get bashed and trolled to oblivion. I play those games to have fun, and that game is nothing more than a life simulator. I play video games to have fun, if I'm not having fun with a video game, I don't play it. There are plenty of others out there that I've had no fun with.

At least the old gen systems. I've heard the game is far better on the next gen systems. Which is another sore spot for me and Rockstar. Why make a game, then make a port, that is 100% better than the original? Doesn't make an ounce of sense. I bet if they utilized their resources to make GTA 5 a next gen only game, they could have released the PC version, and not have to spend nearly two years on releasing it.

Here is a review on Metacritic regarding GTA 5 that basically tells the whole story:
Grand Theft Auto V is the worst game in the franchise. With one fell swoop, Rockstar takes away the soul of every good GTA game, freedom. Essentially, this game tried so hard to mimic reality that it was its downfall. GTA games aren't supposed to be like real life, that's what was so fun about the other games. Not being able to fire your weapon anywhere, only certain characters being able to buy certain properties, and the police contribute to the games sense of limiting personal freedom. The storyline and the graphics are the only good things about this game, which is probably the sole determinants of most of these reviews claiming the game is perfect. Selecting a weapon or radio station is unnecessarily difficult due to the Saint's Row-esque wheel. What was wrong with the previous controls? Playing this game seemed like an obligation. Continuing on the hamster wheel of mission after mission with little other options. The lack of available cheat codes sends an unmistakable message of you, do it our way'. As a GTA faithful since GTA III, this game is disappointing to say the least. Rockstar tried to make this game too real, and too much like Saint's Row, and by doing so, crushed the free spirit found in all of the previous Grand Theft Auto game

I can hear what your saying.
But, since I don't play games of that magnitude, I can't say with clear content that I can vouch for either side.

Again, recommend Machinima. They went into detailed length about Mods being band on GTA 5 PC. Some of them, makes sense.

But to lock everyone else out, ridiculous.

Yeah that's another thing to add to my shitlist with Rockstar. They claim they are supportive of modding the game, yet as many modders have pointed out, there were layers of security to prevent modding, on top of that, people have been banned for using mods, and not just multiplayer. Rockstar I believe was trying to prevent modding alltogether, but with the backlash, they reversed course.

They are letting the money get to their head...

Pretty sure the only people banned were those who did use mods while on multiplayer.

"'alloh, I'm fromh der Windows Teknikal Department. Mah naym is Vincent. 'ow ar yoo today, sah?"

*screams violently into the phone*
*line cuts off*

I wish I could do that, but that would be unfair to the person on the other end. We did, however, have 6 calls this week.

GTA original as most games of its franchise, were proper simulation games.

I can barely call GTA 5 a simulation game, I find it more a simple game with objetives and a open world that is.
