Me personally,

I would charge regular for the Extended Addition
That is if Mateusz does not remove any of the contents that is already in the game while adding the extra.

If he does that than he should charge regular since the other HD games already came with full screen and complete soundtrack.

Not really sure about this. But i still want submachine like one big game, with complete story. If it going to happen, i will like to see this changes in it, but probably not in the HD version.

Improving the graphics and adding content is a great idea. Maybe an extra cipher plate or a couple new coordinates? I agree that adding content that would advance the plot seems unfair to those who can't buy the HD version. If new locations are added, I think it would be a good idea to add them to SNEE so no one feels left out.

I always buy the HD versions because I think if it as a small donation. New content or not, it's worth it to me.

gemini wrote:what is there to add? what have you considered adding thus far? maybe more notes? sub5 didn't have much of a plot in terms of notes, its one of those things that i felt was lacking. problem is, how do you work notes into a auto writing system like in sub5.

considering the root is the first submachine, perhaps give more backstory into it. hidden rooms with notes or peculiar props, that point to more of the deepening mystery of the submachine.

in terms of paying? i'd be totally willing to pay extra for an extended version.
Maybe he will put items like the coil or the lead casting in a more challangening place.

just to clarify:
extended version would cost exactly the same, $2.

BTW, Mateusz, I wanted to ask you long time ago, do you plan to sell/release/include sketches of Submachines, that never been included inside game. Like sketches of rooms from Submachine 8 that were selected and cut from game. Or other bonuses.
Will we see them someday in some kind of Submachine Special Extended Edition? :D

Does that mean that only Sub5, Sub3 and Sub1 will be extended.

EDIT: I understand now, those submachines lacks because they are short, have only a few ambients, and there is not enough plot info. So you will extend those to make the things more balanced there. ;)

The Root is one of my favorites, so I've been looking forward hoping it would come in HD, I'm definitely going to try to buy it.
With extended content however...I would pay twice the $2.00 for it. That would be super awesome!
(Although I won't be able to download it I don't think, is there any way to download the HD versions without flash?)

Why Sub4 and Sub2 not? Have I missed something?

no, there are no sketches laying around. the stuff cut from sub8 might end up in the subnet.

as for extending HD versions - I'll see how this will play out with sub5. if the sales will prove this to be a good idea - then why not extend other games. (especially sub4 and sub2);

in other words - we're getting to the point where the customer is voting with their wallet.

oh, btw - the sponsor-driven business model is basically dead. how we move forward form this is up to the players.
