A dedicated forum founded by Mateusz Skutnik, creator of world famous Submachine and several acclaimed point-and-click flash games.

Vortex and Sublevel work for an intelligence agency who are researching into a supposed "game developer" and "graphic novelist." There have countless reports of accidents and paranormal incidents around the county of Kent in the southeast of England. All investigations have linked these incidents to this supposed "game developer" who has created a "game series" which has been called "Submachine" and is about a machine of the same name. This "Submachine" seems to mysteriously account for many of the unexplained incidents over the past few years (many of which are highly classified) and there is increasing evidence of its existence.Ancient Crystal wrote:Please stand by as I create a suitably insane conspiracy theory.

Over the last few years, an agency planning to cease power over the planet has been studying social interaction of varying kinds, to better prepare for maintaining control and order in the aftermath. These forums have been selected as a branch of the online subdivision, and have been actively montored by lurking agents. Furthermore, to further broaden the results, some effort has been put into micro-manipulating different aspects through database instrusions and occasional one-off accouns. However, this would prove to have unexpected consequences, and accidentally triggered the must-not-be-spoken-of wars. Realizing that letting the boards degenerate into a permantent flaming zone would rob them of a valuable source of data, even more effort was put into micromanipulating things back on track. To maintain control of the atmosphere, two prominent accounts were chosen to be taken under the executive control of the agency. The owners of said accounts were terminated along with people close enough to notice, and their online accounts were taken over by agency agents. Since then, they have been used for more prominent experiments, usually under the control of several agents each. Today, however, they were short of staff, forcing a single one of them to man the entire pastel operation, thus only allowing one account to be active at a time. The Abacus wrote:Vortex and Sublevel work for an intelligence agency who are researching into a supposed "game developer" and "graphic novelist." Vortex and Sublevel are the assumed identities of the spies who have been sent to inquire into the details of this technology by acquiring the little information the machine's creator has allowed himself to reveal to the public. It is important to maintain 24-hour surveillance in the case that the creator decides to remove a piece of crucial information immediately after he has posted, hence the requirement of two agents who alternate between 12-hour shift.
