I'm the same way, World - I remember a lot of a book after reading it, so it's hard when you buy a book and it just sits on your shelf...
You could try getting it on eBay for dirt cheap, even though I know you don't want to buy it because of reasons stated above. Can the Library order it for you?

They don't have it in their collection, and the system called MelCat, which is a reach out to other library don't have a copy either.

I understood that, I meant could they buy a copy of the book for you, so that others who are interested in reading it could get it at the Library as well.

I started Virgil and Beatrice (by Yann Martel) recently; I found it rather clever and I'm really enjoying it.
