That's basically what I - and probably her too - got, except with Lutheranism. Parents can choose between teaching their child (Lutheran) religion or ethics, but most choose religion, since ethics is not available everywhere and "all" the other kids will go to religion classes. As far as I know, it's mostly kids of other religions go into ethics classes in most schools. I suppose there might be some other specific religion classes available in bigger cities, but in the countryside they are pretty much unheard of.

The mosquito I mentioned earlier has gotten better at aiming; it tried to bite my face.
I seriously need to spray this room, but I keep forgetting.

I hate mosquitoes, thanks God it's winter!
I normally hate winter, but there is a strong point of minus temperature - no mosquitoes!

Filling out scholarships and stuff makes me feel like a loser, because I don't have anything to put down for awards or leadership positions or anything like that.

Trust me, it not filling. I am a member of the National Honors Society, and that still doesn't get me connected with the other students in my grade, not on bit. Makes a social circle a pain in the ass when you don't have much know in common you have with the other your with.

That's not really what I meant. Everyone keeps telling me that colleges and scholarships like to look at your extra-curricular activities but I don't *do* anything.

1) Why? EDIT: As in "why would they want to know?"
2) Don't you study a bunch of languages?

1.Heck if I know, I guess it means you have a passion for something?

2. That is not considered an extracurricular activity.
