Re: List of Pastel Birthdays
Huh. There's a nice bit of probability in action - fancy Marbles and I having been born on exactly the same day, year and all.
(the name rings bells, and I don't just mean those special little bells that chime "411, 411!" - I remember a very particular picture of a squirrel, and a missed connection on the MSPA fora one time. That was probably all, though; you were on these fora too early for me, and on the MSPA ones too late. So wherever you are (probably America somewhere, knowing the internet), from one stranger to another, I hope you had a wonderful 21st, that you took it as seriously as you wanted to, and that you're not crippled by glumness and existential ennui from this most unique of markers of the passage of time)
(like, you know, I'm totally not)
*cough*
also does this forum tell you when people's birthdays are or did somebody figure out when mine was from the fact it displays my age on my profile because if it's the latter well done you that was a decent bit of detective work there

On the other side of the field, I heard... I heard a rumour...

7 days and counting...
I'm a little disappointed that my birthday is on a saturday this year. I mean it would be rather cool if my 30th could be on a saturday. Since I was born on Saturday, May 23rd, 1987

Happy birthday Shadow!

If it's any consolation, weekday cycles repeat exactly every 28 years, so everyone's 28th birthday falls on the same weekday they were bornGemini wrote:7 days and counting...

Re: List of Pastel Birthdays
So, owning 28 almanacs would allow you to cycle through them without ever getting a new one? (Aside from transferred holidays and such)
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss, if the old boss had been an octahedron, which they weren't.
Re: List of Pastel Birthdays
Yep, though it might need a slight adjustment at the start of each century because years that are multiples of 100 and not of 400 aren't leap years. So your almanac set would work perfectly between 1900 and 2100, which is ok for all practical purposes

Aye, I don't think any of us are that old...
