I don't think people from Bamboo Town could go to 5 th layer, they were too primitive to have transporter.

How?
To my knowledge, "the plan" is the actual structure of the subnet. This says otherwise:
The plan was created by great architects
What else could one infer from "who needs god when you have architects like that"?
LOL!

I think that is way for Mateusz to say that he prefer to be called "game architect" than "subgod". :P

I don't think so, if it says that in a note it must be somehow related to the plot.

Maybe both.

I think you're looking too much into it, Abacus :P You could be right and prove us all wrong nonetheless.

1) Pretty sure the "person who was worshipped" is Liz, which I doubt she has any role in creating the Layers.
2) It's not confirmed the statue is Einstein (believe me, if it was, I'd think the same thing), but for a Cat to create the Layers and thus be called an "Architect"?

So you're saying it is possible "architects" here is some non-descript, non-human, unkown party? What exactly? Aliens don't exist in Submachine and gods were just denied above. Also, I don't see how it is unlikely that they could do this? Don't you remember what they did just to bury the lighthouse?
I wasn't saying that. I was saying that whatever/whoever created (i.e. the creator/creators) the subnet (this includes people) or is the subnet created the plan, not some people who happened to be inside it and decide that they'll have 6 alternative versions of the subnet.

It's just that I thought the word "architects" was a metaphor, and the idea that it is literal was not a very attractive prospect to me.

Saying they created the plan in no way implies they created the layers themselves.

The plan, to my understanding, is the structure of the layer system or the layer structure itself. The way layers overlap each other, with one point existing in a layer and that same position existing in another. None can exist without the other; when the plan is gone the layer system would have fallen apart, if there are no layers there is no layer structure or plan for the layers necessary for that layer structure to exist does not.

The Plan cannot exist without the layers, but the layers can exist - and in fact in the story the are doing it right now - without the plan existing anymore.

The plan is still in existence, but damaged extensively and is now beyond recognition. Still exists, just in horrible condition – and (side-note:) the plan is not the only thing on the verge of collapse.
