@WIQ: Wow dude. I did a search and couldn't find Kauts Base anywhere, so is this all your own devised story line? I remember the days I would have friends over to play legos and stuff and I would spend the entire time building a base and the story of it. My friends would get board and leave and I'd keep working. A few days later I'd call them up: I'm done with the base! Wanna come and play now?

No there is such a place. Look under Wookiepedia. That where I learn about this place.

No, it's using something called stereographic mapping or something, I think.
In theory, that means there are and infinite circle of vanishing points around a central point.
