He can be in both, like I do. When my Parent got divorce to save their relationship, my Father lived in South Bend while my Mother lived in Cassopolis. On the weekends my Father would take me to South Bend and my Mother would take me back to Cassopolis on Sunday. It was part of the divorce agreement.
