Bender sucks
Re: Dreams
Yeah, I often have that feeling of having dreamt something when it happens, but I read it's because of the same mechanisms that usual deja vu, so you probably didn't dream of it, and your brain's deceiving you.azareus wrote:More like, when I get to the future I suddenly remember that I had dreamed that exact situation before. Yeah probably, however I can sometimes remember exactly when I dreamed it, so maybe a mix of both?OnyxIonVortex wrote:Yeah, I often have that feeling of having dreamt something when it happens, but I read it's because of the same mechanisms that usual deja vu, so you probably didn't dream of it, and your brain's deceiving you.azareus wrote:More like, when I get to the future I suddenly remember that I had dreamed that exact situation before. The machine probably exists in the SubNet
Although I remember in Elementary School, this girl in my class came up to me during lunch, read my palm and said "Two x's on your hand means you dream the future." Really interesting moment, lol.

(to Ant) Hmm, interesting. You must've really delved into the storyline then.

I have too, but they usually are insignificant. A few examples: Seeing a certain object in front of me while eating at my Cousin's. The first time I remember that happening, I was on a bridge and the sun hit me at a strange angle, and I thought, "Didn't this happen before?" I looked back to see if there was anything significant about it. Nothing.I often dream things that happen in real life later. It can be right after I wake up, it can be several years after. Sounds like Cobb could've done that instead of using the Totem, but the Totem's coolerCool topic. I use to do tons of lucid dreaming when I was in high school, then real life set in and I didn't have time to continue the technique that allowed me to do it. I studied the technique for a school class, which basically is to right down every dream you have, and build a habit of "testing reality" by looking at written text and other things to see if they change. These two build a habitual awareness of dreams that caries over into your dreaming so that it is easier to know when your dreaming and thus control it. Those were good times. I miss flying and shooting lighting from my finger tips. XD

I said usually. Not just to you, but anyone reading: I only remember two dreams at a time, and not all of them have to have a meaning (or even have a meaning.) I've perceived dreams as a sort of lesson, I don't know, lol.Once I had a dream when all I was doing was driving a toy train through a jungle. What moral does that have?
I don't believe I had, since that was before any of the movies came out. For the same reason I really don't remember if anything strange happened.

Re: Dreams
I had a nightmare. And a really shocking dream. (These are the only cases when I remember what I've dreamed.)
1) I was in Mexico on a plane with my family. We managed to climb on the biggest mountain in the world (in Mexico, seems legit) and it was 12 miles tall. I stepped on its tip (I'm horribly afraid of heights) and I was so FREAKIN' SCARED YOU HAVE NO IDEA so I quickly returned to the plane. Then we jumped out of the plane (only my dad had a parachute, which didn't open) and we fell in this lake, sea, I dunno. Then, as others started swimming, I did the same, but I somehow managed to get caught in the net for fish, I could feel the small spikes thrusting into my foot and I was becoming desperate as my family was swimming away from me. Then I woke up.
2) I was in my village, on the beach with my cousin, he's 16, and some random girl. She was sitting in the air and was looking so pro, while my cousin, a meter away from her, also in the air, was constantly moving, he was so clumsy. Then I said 'I never get tan from being on the sun!' and I woke up.
