Also, if there are voluminous things inside the rooms, they will be 3D-ized too so that rotations look right? That looks like a lot of work...
My goal is to play around with the pseudo-rotation effects to see how I can prevent anyone from noticing that the images are all 2D. I have no clue how it will play out yet, but I'll let you guys know if anything in particular will need to be 3D.
As for hexagonal rooms, you can still get the entire room in intervals of 90. (heck, technically the whole room can be captured in 180, but 90 is a bit more realistic.) Just you will have some corners in the middle, etc. Also, if things shift by 45 for some insane reason, (say, a corridor turns 45 degrees), I'll auto-rotate it, so don't worry about that!
And disabling's easy.
