Well, English, at least the kind in America during the days of the 13 colonies, was made up of several different colonization of different countries in the east. Thus, the modern day English is made up of several different older languages.

But because of this very fact, there are allot of non-logical types of word structures. Like you can have Goose and Geese, but you can't have Moose and Meese.

You can't have meese becuase that would be a mess...
