You guys should catch up then :P
It amazes me that this is still active!
Well...I revived it just now, lol.
As for Matt Smith, he is a good actor and a Great Doctor, its just his writing that is holding him back. Even then he still tries to flourish even when the story is not all that great.
Exactly what I'm saying - Davies left, the writing's just...I don't know.
As for the latest episodes, they have been quite up in down.

A quick rating of them by me would be:
"The Bells of Saint John" 8/10
"The Rings of Akhaten" 3/10
"Cold War" 4/10
"Hide" 4/10
"Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS" 9/10
"The Crimson Horror" 8/10
"Nightmare in Silver" 8/10
More or less agree with you - The opener was fine, Rings was only notable for the "Take it all" Speech, Cold War and Hide were just...why....Journey wasn't that bad, I'd give it an 8.5/10 though. But I'd keep the ratings for Horror and Nightmare - I expected a little more from a Neil Gaiman episode.

My ratings for this season:
The Bells of Saint John: 4/10
The Rings of Akhaten: 0/10
Cold War: 1.5/10
Hide: 0/10
Journey To The Centre Of The Tardis: 3/10
The Crimson Horror:5/10
Nightmare In Silver: 0/10

Yeah, I'm pretty annoyed at it.

I just saw the season finale a few minutes ago... For sake of spoiler prevention, the rest of my post will be in white font:
Rating 0/10, although I wish it was possible to make it lower. It was the most preposterous, vain, self-satisfied, pretentious pile of drivel ever to grace the BBC. An 8 year old could have come up with a better plot, or at least a plot that made some coherent sense to people who are not under the influence of psychoactive substances. The acting was so bad I wanted to be trepanned halfway through just so I didn't have to suffer the childish, pompous bullshit. The conclusion was terrible, it was some half arsed attempt to leave it on a cliff hanger, because the TV execs at BBC are still under the impression people still care. The episode won't be concluded until November, which is just even more of an excuse to rub it in our faces that this show has been wasting taxpayer's money for half a century. By far the worst episode I have ever seen, of any show. If Dr. Who is cancelled this instant it would still be a dammed sight to late!
Rant done!

Stay strong! You will find a way.
Anyway, it does not contain major plot spoilers, just the very ending XD

So you're still looking for an alternative mean? I could give you a hand with some streaming links, which I believe is still legal. Fortunately, there's an abundance of putlocker links, which simplifies it.

2 hours till Season Finale here, I'm not going to ruin it for myself :P

I saw your rating though, which makes me hesitant...

Spoilers: I heard Smith's returning for Season Eight.

Yes, he is. It's not even a spoiler. He loves the job, and the show crew wants to keep him.

Edit: Gil, I compiled a link list for direct streaming of season 7. I got putlocker links for the first half, then I had to settle for played.to and then gorillavid, until the final episode for which tvmuse had a putlocker.

Another edit: I removed it and will use the pm function instead.
