I could hear my parents nd my room AND SEE THEM, but in the same time I was in my dream!!! And I was continuing to sleep (and I SO WANTED to NOT awake)!!! O_O
It happened only two-three times, but I clearly remember that.
Haha yeah, in my case sometimes even my father or my sister wake me up for me to answer something, I tell them what they want and then resume my dream like if nothing had happened XD

Ha,that happens to me sometimes to ;I can also feel my(real) body, and I can't do anything about it,like I'm paralysed.

The second dream was a lucid dream in which I decided "I'm going to fly!" and took off into the air.
I did some flying, killed some people, but then I tried messing around with physics, and got shocked awake.
lol. When I realise that I am inside dream, my first wish is to start to fly. And it works!
What is it with you guys and flying? That rarely happens in my dreams(although, admittedly, sometimes I find myself in a high place,or space)

Earworms seem to keep me awake in my sleep:very useful for lucid dreaming.

My wife flies in her dreams all the time, but I don't think I've done it sense high school when I was keeping a dream journal. That would have been up until 1996. I miss flying. *sob*

Today I had 2 dreams:
1.I woke up in my class to the sound of my friend's voice. He told me I slept for 2 minutes already, and it's recess time.At this point I realised this was a dream because I NEVER sleep in class if teachers are around.I told him this is a dream but he didn't believe me.So I checked to see if I had superpowers by punching a nearby window, and no.Then I walked out of the class and tried to jump off the building, but the ledge was too high. Now I was getting real frustrated when a bunch of classmates entered the class and had a conversation with my friend, and I heard my brother's name in the conversation, which didn't add up.So I told him and proved it was a dream, and then the dream ended.
2.I was in a cafeteria of sorts, which had orange chairs, and everything else is dull/grey,and I couldn't remember my name.

Had an epic dream! Man, since entering in to this thread, I've been dreaming more vividly. I think this is playing the part of a dream journal. This is what I wrote down last night after I had it and couldn't sleep because I kept thinking about it:

--------------------
The first part of the dream was in a city or village had no power. They lived hard, simple, and happy lives, intermittently connected with the community. I remember little of this, other than everything was a dirty brown, I lived with a big family, and I got badly hurt at one point and was just sitting in a dinning hall soaking up sympathy from the people who walked into the kitchen. I seem to remember bleeding while there. (Theory: in retrospect, the browns are symbolic of the connection with earth and nature, and with a simple warmth in the people.)

"My" families home is made of boards and full of bunk beds. I remember us all going to bed. The people may be animals or animal like, or have people animals living with them.

We, the people of the city, are suddenly in a train car that is flying through a smoky grey storm. The cars, of which I think there are 3 with no engine, are silver, and everyone is strapped to bench seats that are in the middle of the train, 6 or 8 seats wide and maybe 10 to 14 rows deep. (180 to 336 people if my guessed numbers are even close. XP ) The people deffinetly are animals in this part. (Theory: this portrays their connection to the earth, their working with the earth, not striving against it, yet the storm is a symbol that their world has been lost or is being lost.)

One lone mouse says he will go get help, or something, and jumps out with a contraption. The contraption seems to gather atmospheric power (static electricity in the storm) and sparks to life. It is a little flying machine that looks very steampunk-ish. I literally think "oh, so there is still electricity" at this point. (theory: the sudden appearance of technology symbolizes a return to these ways/methods in order to survive. The train car they rode in was an old, re-purposed relic, but the flying machine is new.)

I don't remember how, but one moment he is flying through the grey storm, the next he is in a white mansion. The place appears to be built inside a warehouse or bunker, but is painted white with lots of mansion touches, like crystal chandeliers and tons of wait staff all dressed in 18th century servant costumes. They freak out at the site of the flying mouse contraption and keep tryig to catch it. I/ the mouse fly around scouting the place with tons of wait staff which I pretty much ignore chasing me. I begin finding and checking in on the resident mice and asking if they want to come with me. none do. Someone, I think an old wait staff points up into a huge, high area of the ceiling and I go that way. This takes me into a metal rafter area that is well lit, but in places has a drop ceiling or structure under neath the scaffolding. I am trying to analyze the scaffolding as I fly up. I keep getting impressions of the other animals in here, but don't see them until I reach the top. This hole roof scaffolding area is at a 45 degree angle. At the top there is a kind of booth with a window and walk planks lead up to it. The ceiling leads to this watch point from both sides at a 45 degree angle, with a wall behind it. I never get to see what the booth is, but at the top is waiting another small person/animal but riding a brightly collored dragon about 6" in diameter and maybe 8' long. The mouse and dragon rider have a brief dialogue and I sense their is a rivalry between them, but it isn't deadly. The dragon flies off as if to begin a game or contest, but I loose track of the dream here. (Theory: this shows that while some in this post-apocalypse [at least I THINK that is what is going on, but I'll theorize on that more later] are living close to the earth, there are still the rich elites. It seems here as if the white is an attempt to make things pure, but from the mouse's vantage point, all the facades and dirty are visible.)

I'm in a dusty grey cement bomb shelter like place. Dust is thick on the ground and there are many people trying to live in this area. I sense the place is a vast network. This is a bad place, ruled I intuit by vicious conquerors who use their people as a tool to gain more control and little more. There are "innocent," or at least weaker, people here, and they cluster together in the room's few safe areas, such as what appear to be bathroom dividers, but apparently made of the same grey stone as the rest of the structure, and as the dust on the ground. They form small groups and families (or already have them) to try to protect each other from the small gangs that bully and rape on a regular bases. It is like a prison without guards now that I think about it. (Theory: the third aspect of this world, the barbarian conquerors are back to live as they will without centralized governments to squelch them. The grey colors symbolize the depression here, and it probably links to the storm which was the same dull and smokey grey. I've never had a dream that I was aware of such strong color symbolism.)

Dream jumps to a demonstration of an old world hologram machine the barbarians have found. It does a bunch of fancy tron looking effects, like groups of black panels with red glowing edges floating through space as they shift. Not sure what this is about.

There was another demonstration of the groups power that was a display of their best people doing a dance, but I forget it.

The barbarians come to a 4th groups home, which quite possibly is the 1st group relocated and reestablished. They are in a brownish grey stone compound, very similar to the barbarians home, but more communal. Instead of many small rooms, it is one large area, and actually seems to have connections to the place in the mansion that went up at a 45 degree angel, though I don't know what that connection is.

After an initial battle, invasion, or exchange which I don't remember, the barbarians put on a funny floor show that is intended to threaten and invite the 4th group into their way of life, but which just looks ridiculous. It begins with a line of muscle dudes doing a weird American Indian style dance while dressed in huge black feathers, like burlesque girls. After this is a more elaborate show that somehow involves mechanized platforms which raise the "people" in this show up high in the air. These "people" are the high women of the barbarians. They are creepy and ugly grey skinned mutations, some with multiple arms or heads, and with hideous proportions to their anatomy: barrel torsos with squat heads and breast that just look like skin stretched tight over square milk jug like shapes (very Clive Barker like). They are, I suppose, doing a dance that shows off their appearance, but which is just horrifying. And I get the boom camera treatment with slow pans and close ups. Ugh.

The barbarians leave to give the 4th group time to think, and it is plan the barbarians thnk they will surrender or else be simple to wipe out, but the 4th group open up hidden strong holds in their compound and lead many of their people in. Strangely, this includes a line of elephants. The light coming out of the hiding places is white and glorious, clean and not full of the hidden dirtiness of the 2nd group. The whole time the 4th group is preparing, I think they are preparing for war, fortifying, and I'm thinking "yeah, the barbarians won't expect this battle!" but instead, I find that almost all the people are hidden. It is clear that the compound has greater fortifications (there is lots of "camera work" that seems to be aimed at pointing this out) yet the place is left undefended.

The dream shifts suddenly to a place that resembles a large modern business or church building. It is dry walled construction, multileveled (and the angles are back, this time only a 15 degree angle and that being in the floors of the upper levels themselves so that there are no stairs, only angled floors), clean, and painted in colors like tan, orange, and light green. (Hmmm... earth colors, but with a modern flair.) There are tons of people and people like animals here, but they are all in strange, bright earth colored costumes that look like plastic. They act like statues when any of the barbarians are looking at them, though you do see them move when no one is looking. The barbarians are a little freaked by all these animal and people statues and don't know what to do. I am in the act to, and when I am nudged by a barbarian, I fall over and imitate a statue as best as I can. They seem to buy it, though I couldn't have looked very realistic, and just keep looking around with awed and baffled expressions.

I wake up very suddenly after this and have not been able to sleep, so I've written all of this down.

--------------

This dream seems really easy to interpret, but I'll have to do that later as I must run to work now. Very cool dream. I have epic post-apocolypse dreams at least a few times a year. I think I expect it to happen.

Nah,don't have one,but this will do.And sure you can post your dreams here,it's the whole point of the thread.
I had a lucid dream today which confirmed my earworm hypothesis:the dream went on for 3 (dream)hours, and then I got sick of the song, and the dream began to fade.
