The third administration: Welcome, dev & issue reports
Re: The third administration: Welcome, dev & issue reports [unscheduled downtime 2021-11-21]
Along with the previous tasks I listed, I've also introduced the idea of implementing locked archive threads. I've created a thread for M-A-T v1.0 that I hope can be locked, and discussed here along with the other forum reorganization efforts.

Sorry, but I have to ask about forum search issue again.
Is there some issues with fixing this problem? Can I help?
Soon I would need a forum search very much.
Edit:
Today it was a HUGE pain to look manually through all forum for content I wanted to search...

Re: The third administration: Welcome, dev & issue reports [possible downtime 2021-12-25 after 12:00 UTC]
Scheduling downtime tomorrow afternoon, no specific hour known yet. I'll try to give 30 minutes' warning if downtime does begin.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss, if the old boss had been an octahedron, which they weren't.

Forum reopened as of 20:46 UTC. Board has been upgraded to phpBB 3.3.5, search index is being rebuilt. I still haven't investigated the continuing search issue thouroughly, so please let me know if it persists. Also the favicon seems to be gone, I should look into how that happened.

Thank you very much! I will check the search.
Edit:

Unfortunately, forum search is still the same. Broken.

This problem has existed since I joined this forum

Re: The third administration: Welcome, dev & issue reports
I suspected as much, since the favicon also wasn't found in the backup I took of the forum before upgrading yesterday. I dug it out of an older backup, presumably I forgot to move it over when I did a previous upgrade. (The standard process involves deleting - or in my case, moving to the side - all old files, then installing a fresh forum of the new version, then moving over a select few folders and files, such as the images store and config, from the old to the new.)
As for search - it seems as though the forum somehow can't complete building a search index. I should definitely look into that.
