I too didn't enjoy this game as much as the others, mainly because most things are done automatically (connection of clues, for example), and a great part of the game can be solved by just pixel hunting.

EDIT: though the artwork is fine for me, it's one of the changes I enjoyed.

But certain pixels are glowing, in order not to make it too hard.

I dislike only easy puzzles (and maybe automatic things).
But the plot, art style, game engine, etc. are OK for me.

That falls into the "automatic" part XD
I prefer pure pixel hunting than pixel hunting with unavoidable hints.

Anyways what I meant with pixel hunting was that there is few puzzle part in this. But that kinda applies to the other games of the series as well.

Yeah, but in reality he did not have to do that.

Fog Fall 4 is a clear example. We could distinguish the object that we could be pick up by simple the fact they were items art detail was just a slight different than the actual background.

That's what I mean, I don't like this method of giving hints.

I found a comment that pretty much sums up what I think about this game here (the third comment).

Aww, right, walkthrough was first.
Anyway, only thing I disagree in this comment is part about illogical plot. It was logical, but stupid.
