Has anyone ever encountered this problem when reading an Anime or Manga, or watching their TV Shows?

The Story altogether is well written and is full of potential, but when the story is way too short, like some TV series under 45 minute each has a length of 3 episodes, or some other well written stories in a Anime or Manga are well written. But near the end of the story, you don't have as much of a connection to the main characters cause the story was not long enough to develop or grow at least the main character background or characteristics?

Or is this just me?

^ This happens sometimes. But I think in some cases it's better to have an open ending rather than to explain absolutely everything. Leave something for your imagination

He doesn't seem to be referring as much to how in-detail the endings are, but rather how the story fails to explore it's full potential.

So I recently got a chance to watch the whole Gurren Lagann series.
And I got to say, they sure did go far from the hole in the ground.

But there is this one scene, where Simon is in jail, and Nia appears before him telling him how "The Anti-Spiral want nothing but absolute despair".Hearing that made me laugh so hard I had to pause the video and collapse onto the floor in the kitchen.
Cause, despite seeing humans as "A threat" or whatever, they still prove my point.
"You are Me."

They didn't need to be "Anti-Spiral" to want Absolute Despair, Human can do that all on their own. Moreover, they are no different from the Spiral Race. The Anti-Spiral wanted to eliminate all of the Spiral Race trace, the Spiral Race wanted the destruction of the Anti-Spiral Race so they wouldn't kill any more people.

The Anti-Spiral Race is no different than the Spiral Race. I could go as far as to say,
"The Anti-Spiral Race is the Spiral Race, and the Spiral Race is the Anti-Spiral Race."
