Here it is! It's quite short, both because I don't have time for more and because I don't know how to extend it without making spoilers. But hopefully it's good to calm your story appetite until I continue the story. Hope you enjoy it

He is walking through a hallway, in a house he is not familiar with. The carpeted floor muffles all his steps. He can hear them whisper.

<IRINA>: Grandpa... do you think he's gone?

<SIMON>: I don't know, dear. I don't know.

They seem scared. Frightened. The girl starts to weep silently. It's normal, he thinks.

They don't understand.

They can't understand... how much he loves them. How much he loves everyone.



Step. Step. It is too dark to see a thing. But he doesn't need to see. He's not scared of the darkness. Sometimes you have to wander through the darkest of paths to arrive at the purest, brightest light.

He knows what it's like to not be understood. All the shame, the hatred running through him... But all that is gone now. Now he has a mission to follow. And he will finish it, no matter the cost.

He arrives at the corner. The moment has come.



<SIMON>: Why... why are you doing this?!

With a smile in his face, he calmly answers.

<IAN>: Because I love you.

He raises his gun and shoots twice.

Wait, let me understand, Ian (or a perphaps possesed Ian), killed his grandpa and cousin?

I won't say anything about the identity of Simon and Irina. They may be family of Ian, they may not be.

The sequence is canon, it ocurred at a unspecified time before the events of the story. Ian is not posessed there. He is the true Ian. But that doesn't mean that the Ian in the story, as he is right now, would do the same thing as the Ian here.
