The essential part of this universe is MAGIC.Early, there was two worlds. Humans world, where we live, and Demons world. Demons was like us, thinking creatures, the highest stage of evolution, "owners" of planet. But great collaps happened, and Demons word was ripped in pieces. Survived demons, as well as animals from their world, escaped to Humans world, and started to live here...
But demons and humans was too different, "opposite sides of one coin". And they started great war. As a result, Demons lost the war, and they hid, in forests, mountains, underwater. And they are still living there, for more than 4000 years...

I can't give all information, because full plot can take a lot of time! Because I had many dreams, I connected them into one clear story, something I added from my head (without waiting for new dreams)...
Lol, actually, it started 9 years ago, when I watched one special cartoon series... and first dream was "remake" of plot of this cartoon, but with more realistic and "gothic" atmosphere.
