Re: Books!
It a good book.
Wont spoil it for you, but its main theme has simulation to the book 1984.
But for a completely different reason.
If you like 1984, this book be just a good.

Yeah, Dystopian, I figured that.
I actually have 1984, haven't read it yet, but I might after.

Started reading Room yesterday
Balance is imperative; without it, total collapse and destruction is imminent.
Re: Books!
Finished 'Ender's Game' by Orson Scott Card.
Good plot line.
Very climatic ending.
(And that's sarcasm, if you hadn't noticed)

Re: Books!
I wasn't a big fan of Fahrenheit 451. The whole way through, I couldn't shake the feeling that Bradbury wasn't even trying to be understandable. It wasn't unreadable, but it wasn't clear in its language, which tends to give me the impression that the author thinks he's too good for layman readers. I don't especially think that Bradbury was that way, but it wasn't a style I liked, and the overall message of the book could have been summed up in 20 pages in my opinion.
That sounds a little harsher than I mean. It isn't bad, but I wasn't a fan.

Re: Books!
Reading "The Stand" by Stephen King.
FYI, it is the original uncut one.
Meaning its 150,000 pages long.

Re: Books!
Started reading "Sophie's World".
I have mixed feelings. I got it when I was 5 or 6 years old, but never read, because I have always thought it's for older children. And now I found it on my shelf and decided to read finally. And I think I should have definitely read it then. Now it's just boring and kind of... I don't know... childish.

I read it a lot of time ago, and I think I liked it. It has too many plot twists XD

Re: Books!
That's the sad part about books: You can read them as a child and never fully understand them, and once you're older and understand them, it loses some element to it...I can't fully explain it.borys610 wrote:Started reading "Sophie's World".

I got "Silver Surfer: Rebirth of Thanos" yesterday, if that counts as a book

TT: I guess one could use those words to describe it.
