after awaking in unknown place
realizing you're alone there
escaping, only to find you're still in trap
traveling in scary dungeon and dark sewers
realizing you're underground in huge lighthouse
eternal silence and water falling around
escaping again, only to find you're in new trap
in the worst trap you could end up
infinite rooms
seeing artificial light and metal
solving puzzles, solving puzzles, solving puzzles...
being in one step from dying of dehydration
escaping, and hoping to find another human
but finding noone
traveling through wide net
through eternal void
finding traces of human presence:
equipments,
notes,
blood...
but no finding anyone
even no bodies
and no reward for passing the test
passing the tests
solving puzzles
passing the tests again
waiting for SOMETHING
but finding new assignment
being trapped
being sent to become dead
or become suicide...
going through lifeless world
meeting danger
finding betrayals
no human betrayals
but betrayals of your own mind
because you know you DON'T UNDERSTAND THESE THINGS YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND SUBMACHINE...
and then
after being alone all this time
after solving thousands puzzles to save your life
after all
you're in one step of EXIT...
Precisely if I were the Player, if every time things become worse than before, I wouldn't trust an exit. And even less if a "God", which seemingly doesn't care at all about people in Submachine, is the one who will guide me to it. As I said, better the devil you know than the devil you don't
