I've always wondered, why does this forum make a big deal out of lurkers? They lurk, they don't do anything. Am I missing something here?

I must be missing something too because I've never seen anyone really complain about lurkers. The only huge thing I've seen people complain about are the one time posters. Which was got a lot back at the bbpress forum, people would join, post "Hey I like this game" and then vanish, never to be seen or heard from again.

I don't have a problem with people who lurk. They don't want to participate in discussions, then fine, that's them.

I was lurker for two years, in 2009-2010

First time I was looking only for news about Submachine.
Then I started to read other forum stuff (A'LLUKIN forum story, Pictures and vids are fun, etc)

Help wanted

Administrator position open for setting up NaissanceE Wiki

No obligation to add information to pages, only to set up the wiki and tweak it to mechanical perfection in your spare time. Again, no experience with the game is necessary

If possible please follow the syntax and parameters of the Submachine Wiki, of which I am most familiar. I would love to add information to this newfound wiki o' mine (in spare time), I just can't get hardly anything to work

(think about it as another chance to be an overseer and respected manager of a website!!!)

@RD, basically I would need help setting up the templates and coding for infoboxes, categories, etc. I may post a lot on the SubWiki but that doesn't necessarily mean I know how to work with the nitty-gritty details, unfortunately.

Hm, well, I know a little about the templates and js files, but not much. What do you want to do exactly, change the color scheme, borders, etc.? I can help with that

Yeah, pretty much. You know how in Submachine Wiki the infoboxes are pretty simple to work with, there are a bunch of category pages, templates, etc. I would like the NaissanceE wiki to have the same setups so I'm familiar with using them easily. I tried creating a template for an infobox but it didn't work quite the way I wanted.

I think most of it will just be cropping up as I run into problems, the easiest thing to do would be just to make you an admin on the site so you can be there when I have a problem. Don't worry about filling out the actual pages with game info.

(now if I can figure out how to add an admin...)
