WiQ made mention of the hot weather, he isn't kidding. It hit 90 (32.2) in Detroit, yesterday, and that's extremely uncharacteristic of southeast Michigan for this time of year.
Our spring consists of much cooler weather, so having this kind of humidity and heat this early in the year is extremely strange. This is something you'd experience more in the American south and southwest, not the American midwest.
(Not really a rant, I like my heat, but holy crap. This is odd.)

It's affecting the Northeast too. The really cold extended winter was brought on by the distorted arctic belt thing. My Earth Science teacher was saying a couple months ago that we should prepare for a really warm spring.
